Host's Biography

Thanks to the kind sponsorship of Civil Rights Activist James H. Meredith, the first African-American to attend a non-black School at the University of Mississippi in the 1960, Ms. Yiaba, gained admittance to the United States in September of 1986.

 

Your Host and Founder, Elizabeth Yiaba aka "Sia-Sia" is a native of Sierra Leone, West Africa.  She is also known as "Yaba" her trade name. She dropped the "i" for commercial purposes and easy pronunciation. She graduated with BA Degree in Communications.

 

The Yaba TV Show started on Christmas Day, December 25, 1992 on Continental Cablevision in Los Angeles.
